How Reels differ from feed videos
A Reel is a short vertical video (9:16). Everything on the video downloader works here too. This page just covers the Reel-specific details.
Which Reel link to use
facebook.com/reel/<id> is the direct permalink and the most reliable link to paste. facebook.com/share/r/<code> is what the app's share sheet copies, and it redirects to the same Reel. Both work here, and so does the plural /reels/.
Reels keep their sound
If a Reel has sound, the download keeps it. If we can't include the audio for some reason, we'll tell you instead of saving a silent clip.
Want only the soundtrack? A Reel with audio also offers an Audio only (M4A) entry, copied from the original stream without re-encoding. The Facebook audio downloader explains how it works.
Limitations
Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube links won't work here. This tool is for Facebook only. Private Reels, Reels inside closed groups, and anything behind a login wall cannot be saved. Reels download one at a time.
Facebook Reels downloader FAQ
How do I copy a Reel link on my phone?
Open the Reel in the Facebook app, tap Share, then Copy link. That gives you a facebook.com/reel/ or facebook.com/share/r/ link, which you can paste straight into this page.
Can I download Instagram Reels here?
No. This page only handles Facebook Reels. Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube links are rejected before any extraction is attempted.
Can I download someone else's private Reel?
No. If a Reel isn't public, we can't see it either.
What format are downloaded Reels?
Reels are saved as vertical MP4 video. When a Reel has a soundtrack, you can also save the audio alone as an M4A file.
